This is a Factory V8 292 Y-Block Truck with 60,000 original miles.. This truck still has most of the original paint on it with a few touchups. Ihave tried to keep the original look of this truck but added some hidden modernfeatures that make it more of a pleasure to drive. I replaced the granny lowmanual with a Brand New Monster Transmission AOD overdrive. I used an adapterfrom Bendtsen's Transmission Adapters so that it fits correctly with noissues. The adapter kit alone is almost $1000 and came with a new hi torquestarter and machined mounts. I took out the old Dana 44 and put in a completelyrebuilt 1996 8.8 Ford Explorer Disc brake rear with a 3:55 gear. The axle tubeson these were the weak points so they are tig welded. The old Y-Block runs likea champ, no smoke holds strong oil pressure. Front suspension is all new. I sentthe original axle to Nostalgia Sid in OK to have it dropped 2.5" and re bushed. New upgraded master cylinder with proportioning valveadded to balance them out. The truck has been lowered about 5" from stock totake out the farm truck look and give it a more modern look. I took out thespring overloads on front and back. The rear forward spring hanger was relocatedup 3" to balance out the drop. I setup the pinion angle withnew spring shackles and pads. Driveshaft is a brand new unit custom made fromDenny's Driveshaft. I will just list out some of the other items that weredone when I conver.
